Do you know how Chinese people celebrate Christmas?
In China, Christmas is often celebrated in major cities. In these big cities, there are Christmas trees, lights and other decorations scattered around the streets, malls and smaller stores. Santa Claus is called 'shng dn lo rn' in Mandarin.
People like to give apples and Christmas cards on Christmas Eve. Apple is "png gu in Mandarin, which is similar to "png n" which means safe and sound.
Postal workers might also dress up as Santa when delivering letters before Christmas! More and more young people are celebrating Christmas at Christmas parties and giving each other gifts, like Valentine's day.
