On October 12th, 2019, Jiaojiang Taizhou, Zhejiang, police arrested two men for selling and storing 4800 cans of counterfeit "Red Bull".
On the morning of that day, the men drove a van to sell the fake "Red Bull" along Baiyun Street and Hongjia Street in Taizhou, which attracted the attention of the customers.
When coming to a small shop in Hongjia street to sell the so-called "Red Bull" to the shopkeeper, they were caught by the police on the spot. While checking the van, the police found it the fake product. Later, another batch of fake Red Bull was found in their warehouse.
Industry Veterans Back to Business
After investigation, it turned out the two men were cousins, both surnamed Chen, from Linhai, Zhejiang. In addition, they both had a criminal record where they were sentenced to a fixed-term imprisonment in 2010 for selling counterfeit goods in Hubei province.

This year, they thought of a new business opportunity which was sell fake Red Bull which looked very similar to the original. Occasionally, when some buyers noticed the mislabeled products, they would say that it was a new version of Red Bull.
