Conversation Between Cop and Auntie Took an Unexpected Turn

A recent video went viral shows a Chinese auntie being fined RMB 20 for parking her bike illegally and was asked to pay it online.

The problem is that she didnt understand how

Seeing how embarrassed she felt, the police officer offered his help. She stood on the side, smiling as the officer proceeded by showing her how to pay her fine on a phone.

The auntie told the officer she came from the countryside to work in the city, washing dishes for restaurants.

She works hard to make ends meet, and as it turns out, this penalty equals what she makes in a day.

Feeling empathetic upon hearing her story, the officer offered to pay her fine.

However, she refused to let him move forward with his offer. You also work hard to earn your salary, she told the officer. I cant make you pay for a mistake I made. Im still going to pay this fine.

Little did the officer (and everyone else around her) know how hard her life actually is. Her children just got married and they, too, dont have enough money to support themselves. So the mother moved to the big city in order to support them financially as much as she can.

Despite her hardships, she maintains a smile on her face, admitting that her lack of education on traffic and public rules eventually caused trouble.

Meanwhile, in Chengdu, an unidentified man was seen moving randomly-parked e-bikes over to the designated location where riders are supposed to leave them.

On a sunny day or braving the heavy rains, this man continues to serve the public without asking for anything in return.

You can also find him cleaning up the streets and sorting through trash in garbage bins, and then carefully closing the lid as he walks away.

Upbringing should never be about money or status.

By giving without wanting to receive - meaning, through our good needs and respect for others without asking for anything in return - we strive towards a better, more appreciative society.

And we thank those who dedicate their time and efforts to make it a reality.
