Shanghai Original Ballet: Lily @ SIDC
Shanghai original ballet Lily makes its highly anticipated debut, bringing to life the classic 1958 novel by Ru Zhijuan through a powerful contemporary adaptation.
Set against the backdrop of war in 1946, this poignant show explores the profound emotional connections that bloom amidst conflict.
The story unfolds through the simple yet meaningful act of "borrowing the quilt," weaving together the lives of three individuals—a female art troupe member, a reluctant young orderly, and a generous new bride.
As their paths cross on the eve of battle, their interactions reveal the pure, lily-like affections that can flourish even in humanity's darkest hours.
Through stunning choreography and evocative design, the ballet captures a timeless story of sacrifice, connection, and the enduring power of simple human kindness.

Community Run @ The Rooster
This Saturday, The Rooster, Trail Blazers Shanghai, and SGRC 南花园跑团—three running communities—are coming together for one shared 5.5K community run, with all levels welcome.
The run kicks off at 8am, early but for a reason: cooler air, quieter streets, and that feeling of getting a run in before the city fully wakes up. It is one of the best times to move.
After the run, participants receive a free drink, which can be coffee, a soft drink, or beer. There is also a Trail Blazers game on the screens, and attendees are entered into a raffle to win an official Yang Hansen jersey.
Run together. Recover together. Watch together. All that is needed is a pair of running shoes—the rest is taken care of.
