The new policy measures aim to continuously improve visa services and facilitate easier entry for foreigners through the following updates:

Expanding Visa-Free Access

The government will orderly expand the scope of unilateral visa-free countries and continue to optimize transit visa-free policies.

Digitalization of Visa and Entry Services

E-Visa Development: Research and launch electronic visas (e-visas).

Online Applications: Pilot online visa applications to shorten overall processing times.

Arrival Documentation: Promote the online filing of the Foreigner Entry Card.

Simplified Approvals for Events and Exhibitions

The policy aims to simplify the approval process for foreigners coming to China to participate in exhibitions, sports events, and other activities. A significant change is the removal of the requirement for inviting parties to provide commitment letters, reducing the administrative burden on the organizations hosting these events.
