According to authorities, officers from the Police Tactical Unit noticed the man acting suspiciously around 11 p.m. during routine patrol. Upon searching his suitcase, they discovered white bricks believed to be cocaine, with an estimated value of HK$9.5 million.

The man has been charged with trafficking dangerous drugs. The case is currently under investigation by the Yuen Long District Crime Squad. Police stated that more arrests could follow as they do not rule out the involvement of other individuals.

Law enforcement reiterated the severe consequences of drug trafficking in Hong Kong. Convicted offenders face up to HK$5 million in fines and life imprisonment.
