One More Province Offers Trade-In Subsidies to Foreigners

  Foreign nationals living in Jiangsu Province can now benefit from trade-in subsidy programs for vehicles, home appliances, and furnishings. 

The second installment of the Q&A on Jiangsu Province's Auto Trade-In Subsidy Program has been officially released, clarifying that individuals holding the Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents, Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents, Residence Permits for Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Residents, or the Foreigner's Permanent Residence ID Card are all eligible to apply for the province's vehicle trade-in and upgrade subsidy.

At the same time, the "Sufuban" (苏服办) mobile application has been upgraded to improve login verification procedures for foreign users, broadening access to the subsidy application platform.

As of now, 105 applications for auto trade-in subsidies have been submitted by Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan residents and foreign nationals, with total subsidies amounting to 1.442 million yuan.

In the home appliance and 3C digital products sector, 1,036 applications have been received from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan compatriots and foreign residents, generating 5.9472 million yuan in sales and 1.084 million yuan in subsidies.

In the home renovation and furnishing category, 10 individuals from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and abroad have applied for trade-in subsidies, with a total subsidy amount of 34,000 yuan. Of these, one applicant used a passport to claim the subsidy. All applications in this category were completed through in-store service channels.
