Four Weather Warnings Issued, Local Temp Drops Over 18°C

  On March 2, significant snowfall was reported in Shandong and other regions, while parts of North China experienced strong winds and a sharp drop in temperatures. 

  At 6:00 PM on the same day, the Central Meteorological Observatory issued multiple weather alerts: a yellow cold wave warning, a blue wind warning, a yellow blizzard warning, and a blue severe convective weather warning. 

  Here is the weather map showing the national temperature drop forecast for China from 8:00 PM on March 2 to 8:00 PM on March 4, 2025.

Localized Blizzard and Temperature Drops Over 18°C

  Yellow Cold Wave Warning: From 8:00 PM on March 2 to 8:00 PM on March 4, temperatures in most parts of central and eastern China are expected to drop by 6 to 10°C. In areas south of the Yellow and Huai River, temperatures are predicted to fall by 12 to 16°C, with some areas seeing drops exceeding 18°C.
  Yellow Blizzard Warning: From 8:00 PM on March 2 to 8:00 PM on March 3, heavy snow is expected in parts of Inner Mongolia's Hetao region, northern and southeastern Shaanxi, central and southern Henan, northern Anhui, and northwestern Hubei. Some areas in southeastern Shaanxi, southern and western Henan, and northwestern Hubei are likely to experience blizzards.
  Blue Wind Warning: From 8:00 PM on March 2 to 8:00 PM on March 3, areas including the Yellow and Huai River regions, northeast and southwest Jianghuai, Jianghan, northern and central Tibet, southern Qinghai, and southern Xinjiang are expected to experience winds of 5 to 6 levels, with gusts reaching 7 to 8 levels.
  Blue Severe Convective Weather Warning: From 8:00 PM on March 2 to 8:00 PM on March 3, areas in eastern Guizhou, northern Guangxi, northern Hunan, southern Anhui, central and eastern Jiangxi, and western Zhejiang may experience thunderstorms with wind speeds exceeding level 8, or hail. Some areas may experience wind speeds up to level 10.
  Citizens in the affected regions are urged to take necessary precautions and stay informed about the latest weather updates.
