City to Explore Regulated Practice for Foreign Nurses

The Shanghai Municipal Health Commission recently issued the "Key Points of Health and Medical Work in Shanghai for 2025," which highlights the deepening of foreign investment in the medical field.
The document states the importance of advancing pilot projects to expand the opening of wholly foreign-owned hospitals, improving systems related to the establishment, practice, and supervision of such hospitals, and promoting the establishment of wholly foreign-owned hospitals in Shanghai. It also supports foreign medical professionals in practicing at high-level medical institutions in accordance with regulations and explores the standardized practice of foreign nurses in the city.
