Day 1:
Arrival in Sapporo
Hokkaido, the splendid northernmost island of Japan, is renowned for its spectacular natural wonders, distinctive indigenous culture, plentiful powder snow, and delicious fresh seafood. Once you land at Sapporo airport, our friendly assistant will welcome you with a warm smile and take you to your hotel in a comfy private vehicle. Then, you can simply check in and unwind.
Day 2:
Exploring Sapporo
Sapporo, the heart and biggest city of Hokkaido, is a place that's amazing both in summer and winter. It's famous for its yummy ramen, refreshing beer, delicious seafood, and the super cool Snow Festival every February.
Today, let's start an exciting journey to explore Sapporo's history and culture! First, we'll visit the Sapporo Clock Tower. It's one of the rare Western-style buildings left in the city. Next, we'll head to Odori Park. It's a lovely green space where you can relax and have fun. Then, we'll walk into the Okurayama Ski Jump Stadium, which was part of the 1972 Winter Olympics. Standing at the top, you'll get a breathtaking view of the whole city and its surroundings.
In the afternoon, it's shopping time at Tanukikoji Shopping Arcade, one of the oldest and most popular shopping streets in Hokkaido.
At the end of the day, we'll stop by ShiroiKoibito Park. It's like a sweet paradise! You can watch how the famous ShiroiKoibito cookies are made at Ishiya Chocolate Factory. You can also try making your own cookies or chocolate. It'll be a really fun and delicious experience!
Day 3:
Sapporo to Otaru, Discover Otaru
Today, you're heading to the charming port city of Otaru, northwest of Sapporo. It's a place full of romance! The canals here are just beautiful, with century-old brick warehouses and gas lights. It's also famous for its amazing glassworks, lovely music boxes, and super fresh seafood.
You can take a short stroll from the canal to Sakaimachi Street and enjoy some delicious food and great shopping. At Kitaichi Glass, you'll be amazed by the unique glassworks in their stores and museum. Then, visit the Music Box Museum. After that, go to Sankaku Fish Market and have a taste of the scrumptious Kaisendon. Finally, we'll head to Tanaka Sake Brewery Kikkogura to see how sake is brewed and sample different kinds of sake. It'll be a wonderful day of exploration and enjoyment!
Day 4:
Sapporo to Noboribetsu, Explore the "Hell Valley"
Let's start with exploring the Hell Valley. It was formed by the eruption of the Kuttara volcano. Even before you get there, you can smell the sulfur and see the pure white steam rising. Then, we'll walk deeper into the hills to the River Oyunuma Natural Footbath. You can soak your feet and give those plantar nerves a nice relax.
In the afternoon, we'll visit Noboribetsu Date Jidaimura. It's a super fun theme park that takes you back to Japan's Edo period. And don't miss the Ninja and Samurai shows. They're a great way to learn about the culture. Just remember to check the schedules in advance. It's going to be a day full of surprises and fun!
Day 5:
Noboribetsu to Niseko, Visit Lake Toya
After breakfast, depart for Niseko. On the way, visit Lake Toya, a crater lake located in Shikotsu-Toya National Park, a natural habitat of many kinds of birds and deer. Enjoy the panoramic view of Lake Toya from the Silo Observatory. Then, go down and take a sightseeing cruise on this picturesque lake. The nearby Toyako Volcano Science Museum will tell you how Lake Toya formed.
Day 6:
Free Day at Niseko Ski Resort
Niseko is truly a winter wonderland! It has the most amazing powder snow, incredible off-piste areas, stunning backcountry, exciting cat skiing choices, and top-notch facilities. You'll have a whole free day to have a blast with all kinds of skiing activities like skiing, snowboarding, and sledding. Get ready to carve up the slopes and make some unforgettable memories!
Day 7:
Return to Sapporo, Departure
Bid farewell to Hokkaido! Make your way to New Chitose Airport in Sapporo for your onward flight home.The seasonal Hokkaido awaits your next holiday to experience other charms.
