  The Consulate took immediate action upon learning of the incidents, promptly contacting German law enforcement authorities and working closely with them to ensure swift progress in the investigation. Chinese authorities also maintained close cooperation with their German counterparts, fully committed to protecting the legal rights of Chinese citizens.
  On November 14, following joint efforts by both Chinese and German law enforcement agencies, a suspect was apprehended in Groß-Gerau, located in the state of Hesse. The 43-year-old suspect, a Chinese national, had been posing as a woman online, using platforms such as WeChat and Little Red Book to advertise rental listings. Under the guise of seeking accommodation or booking private lodgings, he would meet with victims at their homes, where he then committed sexual assaults. 
  Since January 2024, the suspect had carried out four attacks in Frankfurt, Mannheim, and Göttingen. The Frankfurt public prosecutor's office will process the case promptly and release further information as appropriate.
  Following the arrest, German authorities quickly informed the Chinese Consulate and expressed their appreciation for the swift, professional, and critical assistance provided by Chinese law enforcement in solving the case. They also voiced their hopes for continued strong cooperation between the two nations' police forces in the future.

On September 20, 2024, German police issued a public safety warning in German, English, and Chinese, urging young Chinese women to be vigilant about their personal safety. On October 21, the Chinese Consulate General in Frankfurt released a statement detailing the series of rape cases in its jurisdiction, along with safety advice for Chinese citizens. On November 15, local time, the Frankfurt Prosecutor's Office and the Hesse Criminal Investigation Bureau jointly announced that the suspect, a 43-year-old Chinese national, had been arrested.
