WeChat's "double-tap" feature can make navigating the app more efficient and fun. Here are six handy uses of this often-overlooked tool.

1. Find Unread Messages

If you have unread messages but can't easily locate them among a sea of chat history, simply double-tap the WeChat button at the bottom left of your personal page. This will instantly take you to the unread messages, marked with a small red dot, making it much easier to find what you've missed.

2. Easily Scan Distant QR Codes
QR codes are everywhere these days—whether it's ordering at a coffee shop or learning about art pieces in a museum. If the code is too far away to scan clearly, just double-tap to zoom in and make it easier to read.
3. Full-Screen Zoom on Key Information
Sometimes a message or sentence is worth a closer look. Whether it's a work report or an inspiring quote, double-tap any text in a chat to zoom it to full screen. Once enlarged, you can easily select, forward, or search the text.

4. Private Likes on Channels
When browsing WeChat Channels, if you want to like a video without your friends seeing it in your activity feed, simply double-tap the video to give it a private like. It's a discreet way to show appreciation!
5. Fun Avatar Interaction (Tickle)
One of the most popular and well-known uses of the double-tap feature is the "Tickle" function. When you double-tap a friend's avatar in the chat interface, you'll receive a fun and unique greeting. Sometimes, this interaction can lead to unexpected surprises—so be careful! If you make a mistake, just recall the message quickly.
6. Quickly Return to Pinned Chats
In your chats, contacts, or moments feed, you can quickly jump back to your pinned page by double-tapping the title bar on Android. For iOS users, a single tap will do the trick. This handy shortcut saves you from scrolling through long lists to get back to your most important chats.
