One more international school is going to close

Beijing Fangshan Nord Anglia School has informed parents about its closure on July 5th.

We will transfer all students to Shunyi Nord Anglia in an orderly manner.

Families who consent to the transfer will be exempt from the first semester's tuition fees in order to facilitate students' transition to the new environment.

Established in 2019, Beijing Fangshan Nord Anglia School has been operational for just five years.

The institution is the inaugural establishment of Nord Anglia Education Group in Beijing and offers elementary, middle, and high school programs.

Despite its unfavorable geographical location, it has continued to attract a significant number of families due to the advantages of being a member of a large educational organization and offering lodging options.

The school's official website originally scheduled a campus open day for July 6th. Nevertheless, the abrupt announcement of the school's closure and the brief notice period of only one day have left numerous parents feeling unprepared.

Many parents have expressed their reluctance to transfer to Shunyi Nord Anglia, as they are concerned that they may encounter the same circumstance in the near future as a result of their diminished confidence in the group.

For example, in Shenzhen, parents disclosed that Shenzhen Longhua Nord Anglia School would cease operations in September of this year due to operational funding constraints just half a month ago.

In China, Nord Anglia has already closed numerous institutions.

Shenzhen Longhua Nord Anglia:

Parents of students currently enrolled at the school received a sudden official notification in March 2024.

The school has decided to suspend operations for the upcoming semester because of fundamental issues, including operational funding.

The school provided current pupils with two options: transfer to Avenues Shenzhen or transfer to Guangzhou Nord Anglia Bilingual School.
