Foreigner Penalized for Failing to Register Accommodation

  On June 17, the Exit and Entry Administration Brigade of the Ji County Public Security Bureau in Linfen City, Shanxi Province, lawfully dealt with a case of a foreigner who failed to register her accommodation details as required.

  During their work, officers from the Exit and Entry Administration Brigade found that a woman named Zhang, holding a Myanmar passport, was residing in Ji County without completing the required accommodation registration. Upon investigation, it was discovered that Zhang arrived in Ji County on May 20 and had been living at her boyfriend Ji's residence without applying for accommodation registration with the public security authorities.

  According to Article 39, Clause 2, and Article 76, Clause 1, Item 6 of the Exit and Entry Administration Law of the People's Republic of China, the police issued a warning and imposed an administrative fine on the offender Zhang for violating the law.
