Suzhou, located in eastern Chinas Jiangsu province, is rewarding individuals in China and overseas who are contributing to the fields of research and technology with financial incentives of up to RMB 400,000 (approximately US$ 57,000).
The award is set between 5 to 20% of the applicants annual salaries. Candidates are required to have continuously worked in Suzhou for at least one year and must make at least RMB 400,000 in annual wage.
With a total of about 270,000 top-tier talented workers, Suzhou opens its doors to professionals with ambitions in innovation and start-ups globally and has launched more than 30 policies to improve its talent management system.
The city expects to attract over 10,000 top-tier professionals within the next three years, with more than half of them coming from overseas.
