According to Tencent on 26 January 2020, some virology experts believe the concealment of transmission of new coronavirus is one of the main reasons for its rapid spread and thus remind the public to pay attention to the following details in daily life to avoid infection.

1. Bank Card

Cashiers in stores and supermarkets have the most contact with people, but not all of them will be wearing gloves while working, so when paying by cards, the virus may spread in the process. Therefore, after using the card, people need to disinfect it with alcohol and wash their hands in time, and avoid touching their eyes beforehand.

2. Password Locks

Password locks on residential buildings also need to be disinfected as many people will touch it daily. Per experts, after touching the password panel, people should timely wash their hands with soap or alcohol to prevent infection.

3. Elevator Buttons

With people coming and going, an elevator button is easy to be ignored as a source of virus infection. Tips: press the elevator button with the help of foreign things, or wash hands timely after touching it.

According to experts, the rapid spread of the virus in Wuhan city is closely related to the lack of detailed prevention and control.

Therefore, they call on everyone to pay attention to the details of protection as much as possible to prevent infection.

What are the possible routes of infection?

Existing evidence shows that the virus can spread in the following ways:

  1. Spread in the air by coughing or sneezing;

  2. Close contact with patients without safety protection;

  3. Touch the surface of the contaminated object, and then touch the mouth, nose or eyes with the contaminated hand.

  4. Contact with suspected infected animals.
