WUHAN -- One patient with viral pneumonia has been confirmed dead in Wuhan, capital of Central China's Hubei province, and seven others were in critical condition, local health authorities said Saturday.61-year-old man has become the first fatality in an outbreak of a new strain of pneumonia in central China, according to health authorities.
The patient died on Thursday night of severe pneumonia and was a regular visitor to a market linked to the outbreak. The man also suffered from abdominal tumours and chronic liver disease, the commission said.
