Foreign Children Causing a Ruckus on Subway? Metro Responds!

On 9th November 2019, a video of foreign children causing a ruckus in the Shanghai subway triggered a heated discussion among netizens.

According to netizens, on the Shanghai Metro Line 11, the foreign children stood on their seats, swung around on the safety rings, and climbed ontop of handrails. However, the surrounding adults, didn't try to stop them...

In the evening of November 11, 2019, Shanghai Shentong Metro group responded that the carriage is a public place, and called on passengers to consciously abide by the riding rules.



Additionally, they reminded staff to try to intervene, or to contact the subway station staff when seeing such situations.


Coincidentally, as early as the long vacation of the National Day, there were netizens complaining about a similar debate among netizens.




The situation was where a netizen was taking a nearly 8 hours' trip on the high-speed train, almost 20 children in the carriage were being very noisy but the parents did not stop them.



In this regard, some netizens said that the reason is for this behavior is because "They are just kids" and "It is not easy to be a parent". While some netizens said that the above situations are not reasons for parents to ignore their children's behavior.
