WeChat Update ： Bulk Friend Deletion, Moments on PC & More

  WeChat has rolled out an update for its Windows PC version, now available in the 4.0.1 beta.

  This new version introduces several exciting features, including support for posting to Moments, viewing friends' Moments albums, managing all chat files in one place, enhanced contact management, and the addition of a floating window feature.

  In the latest WeChat PC 4.0.1 beta, users will notice a new camera icon at the top of the interface once they log in. By clicking on this icon, users can easily capture or select images, write text, and share them directly to their Moments.

  To access Moments in the new update, users simply click on the "Moments" option in the left sidebar. From there, they can click the camera icon in the top left corner to enter the Moments posting page, which allows them to add photos, emojis, tag friends, and set viewing permissions—similar to the mobile version. Additionally, users can now view their friends' Moments by clicking on their profile pictures.

  The 4.0.1 version also brings improvements over the previous 4.0.0 version, including features like transfer and payment capabilities, the "Tickle" feature, and custom file size download settings. WeChat has also further refined the contact management function. By clicking on the "Contacts" button in the left sidebar and then selecting "Contact Management," users can edit friend names, labels, and permissions in bulk, with the added ability to delete multiple friends at once.
