The incident occurred when customs officers were monitoring incoming flights on the day in question. They noticed a foreign male passenger who appeared suspicious, displaying nervous behavior and failing to declare any goods or items during the entry process. Upon further questioning and investigation, customs officers initially suspected that the passenger might be concealing drugs in his body.
During the investigation, the suspect expelled four cylindrical objects wrapped in white plastic and rubber membranes. Preliminary tests confirmed that these items contained cocaine. The suspect was then handed over to the anti-smuggling department and was taken to a designated medical facility for further examination and detoxification. Over the course of several medical checkups, the suspect expelled additional drug-filled capsules, which were also confirmed to contain high-purity cocaine.
Customs Reminder
According to Article 347 of the Criminal Law of the People's Republic of China, smuggling, selling, transporting, or manufacturing drugs—regardless of quantity—should be subject to criminal responsibility and punishment. Individuals caught smuggling drugs will face severe legal consequences, including lengthy imprisonment or even the death penalty.
