China Southern Jigs International Network

China Southern Airlines (CZ) has made several adjustments to its international flight network for December 2024.

The airline has made these changes in response to passenger demand, the need for fleet optimisation, and seasonal adjustments.

The Guangzhou-based (CAN) airline aims to accommodate the changing global demand landscape while enhancing its services.

The airline will increase frequencies on several routes while offering seasonal services.

Beijing Flights

Starting December 14, 2024, CX will launch a new seasonal service between Beijing Daxing (PKX) and Melbourne (MEL). The route will be operated three times per week using an Airbus A330-300.

In addition, CX will also commence a new route between PKX and Sydney (SYD) on December 13.

Like the Melbourne route, the Sydney route will operate four times per week with the A330-300. Both of these services will run until mid-February 2025.

CX will increase frequencies between PKX and Amsterdam (AMS) from five to six weekly flights starting January 1, 2025.

The airline will enhance this service by replacing the Airbus A330-300 with the more modern Airbus A350-900.

Flights between PKX and Istanbul (IST) will see reduced frequencies from three weekly flights to two during December 2024. The route will be operated with an Airbus A330-300.

CX's flights to Los Angeles (LAX) route will also see adjustments in December 2024. The airline will operate the route with a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner instead of a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

This change is part of CX's strategy to optimise its fleet and reduce operational costs. Also, the CAN to LAX route will offer five weekly flights throughout December.

The CAN to MEL route will see some changes.

The airline plans to replace the Boeing 787-9 aircraft with an Airbus A330-300 between December 1 and December 31, 2024. CZ's CAN to Perth (PER) route will reduce the frequency from three weekly flights to two.

Additionally, the CAN to Moscow Sheremetyevo (SVO) route will reduce services from seven to four weekly flights for December.

CZ's CAN to London Gatwick (LGW) route will see a reduction in frequency from three weekly flights to two during the winter period, from December 13 to December 20, 2024.

After December 20, the frequency will return to three weekly flights.
