An attack at the Hechuan Road Station on the No. 9 metro line in Shanghai on Wednesday morning injured three individuals.
The Shanghai police have apprehended a man who was armed with a knife.
The assault occurred at the subway station in Minhang District, located in the southwest region of Shanghai, at 8:28 a.m., according to the police.
The police have transported the injured to a hospital for medical attention.
Following the incident, the station temporarily closed but has since reopened.
We have identified the suspect, a 54-year-old male with the surname Shen.
The police are currently conducting an investigation into the matter.
