Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lin Jian, presided over the regular press conference on June 11th. The following are some factual records.

CNN: Cornell College in Iowa, USA, has informed us that four teachers participating in an exchange program in China were attacked in a park in Jilin City on June 10th, with the victims' relatives also confirming the incident. Can the spokesperson confirm this and provide more information and details? This incident occurred at a time when the Chinese government is advocating for the restoration and increase of cultural exchanges between the US and China. Some believe that the occurrence of this incident, coupled with China's lack of statement, may have adverse effects on related policies. What is your comment on this?

Lin Jian: According to the information we have, on the morning of June 10th, four foreign teachers from Beihua University in Jilin City were attacked while playing in Beishan Park. All injured personnel were promptly sent to the hospital and received proper treatment, and there was no life-threatening condition. The police have preliminarily determined that this case is an accidental incident and are currently conducting further investigation. Regarding your second question, conducting cultural exchanges between China and the United States is in line with the common interests of both sides and has received active support and response from various sectors in both countries. China is recognized as one of the safest countries in the world. China has been and will continue to take effective measures to effectively protect the safety of all foreigners in China. The incident will not have an impact on the normal development of cultural exchanges between China and the United States.
Bloomber: Regarding the incident in Jilin City, has the Jilin City police arrested any suspects? Can you confirm if any suspects have been detained? If no one has been arrested so far, how can the Chinese side determine the motive of the perpetrator? How do you know this is a random incident?
Lin Jian: I believe I've made it quite clear earlier. What I said was that the police have preliminarily determined that this case is an accidental incident, and the relevant details are currently under further investigation.
