Peak of the COVID-19 Outbreak Is Over, China Announces

This past Thursday, China officially announced that the peak of the COVID-10 outbreak had already been reached, showing significant signs of improvement and successful containment of the disease since it first began spreading.

Eight new cases have been confirmed in Wuhan in a single day, down to single digits, said Mi Feng, spokesman for the National Health Commission (NHC) and Deputy Director of its publicity department.

All cities in Hubei province, excluding Wuhan, have had no new confirmed cases over the last week. In provinces outside Hubei, 7 new cases have been confirmed, 6 of which came from abroad.

The above information indicates that the current epidemic peak in China has passed; confirmed by a consistent decline in the number of new cases. While this brings the epidemic to the lowest level of risk weve seen in the last three months, we must continue to remain vigilant and not let our guards down.

All the prevention work that has been conducted thus far has worked, and by continuing to implement these processes, including rigorous medical treatment, we will finally overcome this epidemic.
