16 New Professions Announced in China!



Announced by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security in a joint collaboration with the State Administration for Market Regulation and the National Bureau of Statistics, 16 new professions have been created and promoted in response to fast economic and technological development.



These new professions are mostly in line with emerging industries and service sectors, including:

Intelligent manufacturing technicians, 

Industrial internet technicians; 

Virtual reality technicians; 

Supply chain managers;

Artificial intelligence trainers;

Media operators;

Respiratory therapists; 

Chain managers;

Network appointment distributors;

Electrical and electronic products environmental inspectors;

Health nurses;

Birth defect prevention consultants;

Rehabilitation assistive technology consultants;

UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) installation and adjustment repairmen/women;

Railway comprehensive maintenance workers;

Prefabricated construction workers.


As the Chinese economy is shifting toward high-quality development, new jobs requiring new skills and knowledge have appeared in various industries.


This announcement aspires to boost the development of all related industries by creating more jobs and facilitating employment opportunities while strengthening vocational education and training.
