37 Patients Discharged in Wuhan

[China Daily] After 20 patients were discharged on Friday, another 37 patients diagnosed with novel coronavirus were discharged from Jinyintan Hospital in Wuhan on Sunday. This is by far the largest number of patients discharged from the hospital at once. The most senior patient discharged in this group is 88 years old. 


First Death Outside China


Philippines reported first coronavirus death outside of China.


Meanwhile, starting from Sunday, Chinese nationals or those who have visited the Chinese mainland, HK and Macao in the past 14 days are prohibited from entering the Philippines.


All Shanghai Visitors Must Register


[China Daily]All people arriving in Shanghai through highways, railways, airports and docks need to fill out a mandatory personal health form starting Sunday.  


Travelers are encouraged to download the phone app jiankangyun, or Health Cloud, and fill out the form ahead of their arrival in Shanghai to ensure smooth traffic flow after an extended Spring Festival holiday, the municipal government said on Sunday.


The questions in the form include whether their departure is from Hubei province, and epidemic center Wuhan in particular, their date of departure, method of transportation and the number of the flight, train or vehicle license.


Those who don't fill out the form online will be required to fill out a paper form at the terminal.  


You can download the App from the below QR. The App is currently available with Chinese interface only, but it supports foreigners registering using their passport IDs, but it doesn't include the Foreigner Permanent Registration as ID. 



All Passengers arriving to Shanghai will be required to wear masks. Those with fever will be taken for quarantine. 


Hangzhou & Zhejiang, Official Account


A WeChat official account for covering the outbreak in Zhejiang and Hangzhou has been launched, yesterday. The official account will provide information in English about the Novel CoronaVirus outbreak in the province, with latest news and governments announcements.

Test results for novel coronavirus can be obtained in as fast as 2 hours. Thanks to new technology and test kits. 


8,310 Medic Staff Supporting Hubei


As of 8pm Sunday, a total of 8,310 medical personnel from 29 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and 68 military medical teams have arrived for assistance to fight coronavirus in Hubei. 


Wuhan 10-days-built Hospital Ready


A 1,000-bed hospital in Wuhan, Hubei province, will begin receiving highly contagious pneumonia patients on Monday, less than 10 days after construction began.


Medical personnel from the People's Liberation Army will take over the new Huoshenshan Hospital, with a total of 1,400 expected to start receiving and treating patients on Monday.

 

Six Infected Medical Staff, Discharged



[China Daily] Six medical staff previously confirmed as infected with the novel coronavirus have been discharged from hospital after being cured in Wuhan on Sunday morning.


In total, 15 medical staff were infected. So far, nine have been cured and released. 

 

Travellers Barred from New Zealand


[nzherald.co.nz] All foreign travellers from China are barred from entering New Zealand for up to two weeks as of today. Any foreign travellers who leave or transit through mainland China after February 2, 2020 (NZ time) will be refused entry to New Zealand.


 

First 3 Patients in Hebei, Discharged

Three patients infected with novel coronavirus in North China's Hebei province have recovered and were discharged from local hospitals on Sunday, the first discharged cases since the province reported its first confirmed case on Jan 22. 


 

Aussies Stranded after Flight Canceled


[geelongadvertiser] Aussies hoping to make it home to Darwin are instead stranded in China after yet another flight was cancelled out of the country where the coronavirus continues to spread.


Flight DZ6223, Dong Hai Airlines, was supposed to have left from Shenzhen in China and help a 71 Australian residents get home and away from the virus that has killed more than 300 people.


Australians are also being told not to travel to mainland China. The new travel rules are already having an impact.


Border Force Commissioner Michael Outram told reporters 71 passengers were not allowed to board their plane in China overnight and 12 flights have been cancelled on Sunday.


Epidemic Yet to Peak


[People's Daily] On Tuesday, Academician Zhong Nanshan said that the epidemic is expected to peak in the next 10-14 days.

 

Fake Masks Sellers, Busted


After 10 hours of fighting, Taiyuan and Beijing police arrested two suspects of selling fake 3M masks, Li and Luo. They are suspected of selling more than 580000 fake masks, worth more than 6 million Yuan.
