Canton Fair Suspended
The China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) announced the suspension of all exhibitions, considering epidemic prevention and control. The fair will maintain communication with relevant departments and timely release the reopening info, when available.
Taiwan & Russia Ban China Foreigners
Effective from Feb 4, (China) Taiwan will ban foreign nationals who have been to the mainland in the last 14 days from entering the island in the wake of the current Coronavirus Outbreak.
Meanwhile, Russia will temporarily restrict the entry of foreigners arriving from China, starting Tuesday, due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Tatiana Golikova said on Monday. Certain groups of people, including citizens from countries under the Eurasian Economic Union and official delegations, will be allowed to enter Russia.
Mortality & Age Statistics
The average age of patients died of novel coronavirus infection in epicenter Wuhan is 68, while average age of confirmed cases is younger in other places.*
The fatality rate is 2.1 percent in the country as of Monday. The mortality rate in Hubei Province is 3.1 percent, and 4.9 percent in Wuhan City.
Around 80% of the deaths are over the age of 60, while 75 percent of them had underlying conditions like cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and diabetes, the national health body said.
So far, the youngest Chinese patient is 1 month old and the oldest patient is over 90 years old: NHC confirmed on Tues.
Eight More Hospitals In Wuhan
Wuhan plans to convert another 8 existing venues, including gymnasiums, exhibition centers and sports centers, into hospitals by Feb. 5 to receive patients infected with the novel #coronavirus, local authorities said Tuesday.
Virus Test Kits Production 220,000/day
Three approved manufacturers in Shanghai can produce 220,000 diagnostic kits of the novel #coronavirus daily, which can meet Shanghai's clinical demand and supply for other cities: Shanghai drug administration.

Don't Discard Your Pet
[China Daily] On Monday, Jiang Rongmeng, a member of the National Health Commission expert group, once again stressed there was no evidence of the spread of the novel coronavirus between humans and pets.
The word "again" is being used because before Jiang, the World Health Organization, science website guokr.com and other experts had already stressed the same thing. And yet there have been reports of people discarding their pets.
Belgian Woman Infected
A Belgian woman, who was on a flight bringing UK citizens back on Sunday, tested positive for the virus. Eleven UK citizens and family members were on the woman's flight, which carried passengers from 30 other countries to France, before the Britons flew on to RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire.
Macao to Close Casinos
Macao will shutter its casinos for half a month as the special administrative region (SAR) confirmed on Tuesday that two more residents had been infected by a novel coronavirus, taking the tally to 10.
Hangzhou, Ningbo & Taizhou
Taizhou, Hangzhou and Ningbo were told that only one person per household can go outside every two days to buy goods.
People in Taizhou will have to present ID every time they leave their residential communities, and train services into the city have been suspended.
Hangzhou, announced earlier Tuesday that it will take more thorough and stricter measures across the city to prevent and control the spread of the novel coronavirus. This includes the implementation of closed-off management over living and working areas
