Mercedes me Presents Decadent New A La Carte Menu

With winter now upon us, Mercedes me Restaurant has launched an a la carte menu that invites guests to explore a brand new dining journey and enjoy intimate catering service along the Bund.



For guests who seek novelty in their dining experience, Chef Vincent Wong, Executive Chef of Western Cuisine, presents creative fusion cuisine at Mercedes me Restaurant. His cooking skills utitlize the best of French and Italian techniques to present his uniquely progressive avant-garde style. My style of cooking is versatile with no boundaries or restrictions, Chef Vincent says. I do not limit my creations under one particular type of cuisine. Flavor matters a lot to me, yet I will present you the delicacies with creative presentation, a combination of playful and virtual elements.


The new a la carte menu presents some cross-cultural dishes while paying special attention to Chinese taste preferences. Chef Vincent Wong takes tempura soft shell crab, boneless beef ossobucco, seafood, laksa, Chinese local vegetables and quinoa, transforming them into innovative cuisine concepts. Diners taste buds will be awakened and refreshed by a series of international delicacies.

Mr. Crabbie

Tempura soft shell crab, grapefruit gele, peanut butter chili sauce


This soft-shell crab is encased with a thin layer of tempura batter and deep-fried until crispy. The warm entre comes with a side of mixed seasonal salad tossed with crispy dots of crunchiness. Watermarks on the crab are reflected with grapefruit gele. The crispy soft-shell crab is then filled with a homemade creamy peanut butter chili sauce.




Scallop Coins

Tigers milk, caviar, quinoa pops, grain mustard

This dish is a unique take on Peruvian comfort food, featuring a light and refreshing marinade known as tigers milk. It contains celery, shallot, stock and chili. The seasoning is versatile with vegetables, seafood and meat, and is served with the superfood ingredient, quinoa.




Boneless Beef Ossobucco

Mushroom, parsnip ragout, grapes 


It isn't truly the winter season unless you're enjoying a slow-cooked braised protein to warm you up. Mercedes me Restaurant uses beef shank, a wholesome and hearty piece of beef. Parsnips, mushroom and grapes are added to refresh the palate.




Fried Laksa

Rice noodles, mixed seafood, bean sprouts, yellow chives


Inspired by the iconic Singaporean classic, this dish features noodles served in a fragrant, spicy coconut broth. At Mercedes me Restaurant, they twist the concept and modify the culinary technique. Instead of blanching the rice noodles, they stir-fry the laksa paste with seafood and noodles. And instead of using laksa leaves, they choose yellow chives, a favorite ingredient in China.




Smoky Squid Rings

Squid ink, baby potato, lemon buttermilk, tomato, olives, chili


This dish is a comfort creation with citrus flavors and a hint of heat. Designed as a Spanish-style tapas dish, a whole squid is marinated in thyme, garlic, lemon skin and olive oil and then char-grilled.




Thai Flavor Asparagus Coconut Salad  

Garlic chips, deep-fried shallot, pork scratching, shallot oil, garlic oil, lime oil


This dish combines asaparagus and coconut to present authentic of South East Asian flavors. The salad is served with an aromatic lemongrass nage. Instead of serving fresh or dry-shaved coconut, they use coconut milk for lighter texture. A mouthful of this soupy salad will deliver warmth all over the body as winter approaches.




Atlantis Platter

Seafood, shellfish, potato wedges, zucchini


This platter is filled with Boston lobster, tiger prawn, salmon, Nile perch, tuna, mussels, and clams, and served with potato wedges, baby carrots, zucchini, sauerkraut and an array of mustards.




Cloud 09


Finish off your meal with a creative dessert tribute to Mother Nature. With winter now here, this sweet treat resembles the beautiful clouds in the sky. Cotton candy is used to mimic fluffy clouds, while a small cloud of coconut sits comfortably in the middle. The name Cloud 09 represents happiness and carefree thoughts.
