Join TEC for their upcoming two-day special TEC Talk on January 15 and 18 to learn more about this very city you're living in! 

The Expatriate Center (TEC) is excited to launch a whole new series, TEC TALK | Shanghai! in 2020. This program is specially designed for those who are new to Shanghai, or for those who simply are curious to find out more about the city! 

To kick off the series, the first session is based on the topic "The Rise of The Bund ." Learn more about the history of Shanghai, what happened to the city walls (they were circular!) and how the various former concessions evolved and developed to make Shanghai what it is today through a two-day interactive orientation program.

Check out the remaining two walls that were part of the circular city walls of Shanghai and find out how the various former concessions started and developed! (PS, Yuyuan Garden is located within these city walls!)
2nd Stop - The Buildings Along The Bund12-1.30pm

Ever wondered what these iconic buildings were originally used for and the stories behind them? This tour will reveal everything you need to know!


3rd Stop - The Origins Of The Bund1.30 - 3pm

You've probably heard of the Former French Concession, but how about the Former British Concession or Settlement? This third segment of the tour tells us all about how this area flourished.
