Recently, Chinese media reported that four Haier employees had their labor contracts terminated due to lunch break napping. One employee said Haier only allows 30 minutes for lunch break, which wasn't enough to eat and have a nap.
On 6th September, Haier Group Human Resources released a notice on its platform saying: "Employees were terminated due to lunch break" that the four employees did not take a nap during the break, but slept in the company public reception room during working hours. This comprises a 1st-degree violation of Haier employees' code of conduct, and hence the labor contract should be terminated according to the regulations.
