On August 26th, a foreigner in Wuxi, Jiangsu saved a Chinese woman while riding the bus. Later, news staff managed to interview him and expressed their gratitude for his actions.According to the news staff, that morning on the No. 703 bus, a Chinese woman suddenly had a seizure and fell to the ground, and began foaming at the mouth.
However, passengers around her were so shocked that they were idly watching her, and all were too afraid to approach her. Mr. Yang, the bus driver, immediately pulled over to the roadside, when noticing the situation through the rear view mirror.
At the same time, a foreign man jumped up from his seat and rushed forward to help.
According to the bus video, the foreign man helped move the woman, to prevent her from choking and then tried to separate her mouth, in case she might bite her tongue accidentally.
Then, he stayed by her side, to prevent her from hurting herself, while Yang (the driver), drove the bus to the hospital.
Thanks to the foreign mans timely actions, the woman was saved. Thankfully, she regained consciousness before getting off the bus.
Even so, the foreign man and Yang insisted on accompanying her to the hospital as they worried the situation might reoccur. Before they left, the foreign man explained the situation to the doctor using gestures, and left his business card.
Soon after, the incident attracted news staff. They first interviewed Yang, and then the emergency doctor.
Knowing that the foreign man was the one who actually saved the day, they decided to find him although no one knew his name or his address.
However, thanks to his business card, the news staff found him.
It turned out that, Manfred Dreyer, the foreign man who saved the woman that day, was a doctor and a German expert at the Diabetes Center of Mingci Cardiovascular Hospital in Wux
They came to meet Professor Dreyer and showed their appreciation for his heroic deeds. During their visit, the news staff learned that this was not the first time that Professor Dreyer has saved someone.
Professor Dreyer also stated that he constantly travels from China to Germany by plane, and has helped people overcome illness on their flight.
I am a doctor, and this is why I helped her without hesitation. said Professor Dreyer.
