A Chinese woman has gone viral on social media after sharing her experience of emotional and financial manipulation in a relationship with her Indian boyfriend. According to her, he continued demanding a monthly living allowance—even after being deported to India for visa violations.
Remaining anonymous, the woman explained that she was subjected to emotional manipulation tactics often referred to in China as PUA (Pick-Up Artist behavior), where affection is used to control or exploit a partner. What began with subtle pressure turned into outright financial abuse.
"He tricked me into giving him a lot of money," she wrote. "Even after getting deported for working illegally, he still expected me to fund his living expenses every month."
At the time, she didn't fully grasp what deportation meant and believed his claim that he was simply "going home." But growing doubts made her question his intentions.
"I always felt something wasn't right," she said. "Now I know I was being used. I just hope my story warns others to be more cautious."
Screenshots of their conversations reveal increasing tension. In one message, he told her, "You blame me, but you can't even make me happy." In another, he compared her to his family and suggested she expected too much from him: "You're in India, you have your family—why act like everything's on me?"
She replied that she had done everything to keep the relationship going, even after he left.
The story sparked widespread reaction online, with many slamming the boyfriend's entitlement. "He got deported and still expects a paycheck?
Ridiculous," one user commented. Others praised the woman's bravery in speaking out.
She ended her post with a warning: "Be careful who you love. Don't let yourself be taken advantage of."
