China data; asymptomatic cases to be reported


China's National Health Commission has yet to release its daily update on coronavirus cases, with asymptomatic cases expected to be added to the tally. As of 12:30 Beijing time, Hubei and 8 other provinces still haven't reported their data; and the national cumulative data hasn't been released yet.

From Saturday, April 4 to Monday, April 6, there are three days off.


Labor Day

Zhejiang to Standardize Online Food Ordering and Delivery


Zhejiang local standard "Operation Specification for Online Food Ordering and Delivery" will be implemented from April 1, 2020. The food provider should mark the processing and manufacturing time and edible period on the food container, bill or package. Also, it is advisable to seal the package of the take-out food.

No Medical Workers Infected with COVID-19 While Supporting Hubei


None of the more than 40,000 medical workers were infected with COVID-19 while supporting Hubei and fighting the outbreak, the National Health Commission said Tuesday.

 


Asymptomatic COVID-19 Infections to be in Outbreak's Daily Report


Reports of asymptomatic COVID-19 infections will be included in the outbreak's daily report starting on Wednesday, an official with the National Health Commission said on Tuesday at a briefing in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province.


As of midnight on Monday, the number of asymptomatic-infected patients under medical observation was 1,541, of which 205 were imported cases, official data show.



China to Strengthen Quality Control of Medical Supply Exports



China will encourage companies to expand the production of medical supplies to help the global fight against the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) while ensuring the quality of these exports, the Ministry of Commerce said on March 30.

 

The ministry said investigations will be carried out into any cases with potential quality issues, and vowed zero tolerance on such issues.

 

The ministry, together with the General Administration of Customs and the National Medical Products Administration, will issue an announcement requiring that exported medical supplies must obtain relevant qualifications and meet the quality standards of the importing country or region, it said.



Indoor and Entertainment Attractions in China to Close Again



Many indoor scenic spots and entertainment venues in China have announced that they have temporarily closed again following the suspension of work at cinemas, amid the epidemic control and prevention.

 

Sichuan Province issued a new announcement saying the shopping malls would close the bars, dance halls, cinemas, video game centers, and other crowded entertainment areas.

 


The Cultural Tourism, Radio and Television Bureau of Shenyang issued an emergency notice Sunday to temporarily suspend from business in cinemas, performance venues, including theaters, concert halls, performing arts venues, singing and dancing venues, internet service business venues, and other cultural venues where people gather.

 

Chongqing also required performance and entertainment venues, internet services, and other cultural venues where people gather to suspend business temporarily.

 

In Xi'an City, three ocean parks have also closed.


China Postpones College Entrance Exam to July



Chinas national college entrance examination has been postponed to July 7-8 due to the coronavirus outbreak, the Ministry of Education said on Tuesday.
