The 2019 China Tea Fair is Coming to Shanghai This Week


Tea lovers, heres an event you cant miss. The 2019 China Tea Fair, organized by HJC, takes place from November 29 to December 2 at the Shanghai Expo Exhibition Hall.



Up to 1,000 exhibitors are expected to showcase various types of teas, handicrafts and more in a massive space spanning 20,000 square meters. Organized by Shenzhen HJC Industrial Group, the event aims to introduce local and international visitors to the best of Chinese tea.



At the fair, visitors will have the chance to sample the six classic types of tea (green tea, white tea, oolong tea, yellow tea, black tea and dark tea), as well as more contemporary variations. The event is not only limited to local producers, and will also showcase brands from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and beyond. 

 

Visitors will also be able to learn all about the art of tea-making at booths featuring tea utensils, handicrafts and more. 




For those interested in learning all about Chinese tea culture, plenty of talks will take place during the fair. Leading experts working at the forefront of the industry will be invited to share their expertise. Expect interesting insights on the future of the tea market from some of the industrys most influential and prolific figures throughout the expo.



 

The fair will also play host to the 6th Global Tea Brewer competition. Featuring standout tea artists plucked from across the region, the competition aims to promote the development of Shanghais tea culture. The competition will highlight the new rising stars of Shanghais tea culture who are supporting the spread of local tea practices across the globe.


 

Additionally, visitors will have the chance to vote for the best tea and win a surprise gift. Participants can select their favorite hometown tea and share with friends on social media.
