Job description
This is a hands on product development role with the management aspect more focused on managing the development and production process than on managing people. The candidate will be expected to have some experience with the full process of developing electronic products from conception to delivery to customers. They will be expected to: Work from general project designs from the Director of Technology to implement specific project solutions by working in conjunction with the rest of the electronics engineering team. Apply problem solving techniques to product designs under development to ensure they meet project requirements. Work with project managers to ensure projects meet customers needs and are delivered on time. Identify suitable suppliers and work with them to ensure goods received are delivered on time and meet specifications. This work would be done in conjunction with the purchasing team. Work with development houses for advanced or new technologies. This will only be to establish initial IP that will be extended upon in house. Outform will be in control of its IP. Work with QA team to ensure suppliers are producing acceptable quality product. Work with account mangers to address any customer issues that arise with electronic products we supply.
Requirements
Must be able to travel, including to the USA and UK, if needed in support of projects. Must have sound written and verbal English language communications skills. Their age or amount of experience is less important than their range of experience and attitude. They dont need management experience as long as they have a can do attitude and are comfortable working with others and directing their activities.
