Wenzhou launched the 'Typhoon Alert QR', which is the first in the country
The Meteorological Bureau in Wenzhou City has launched the province's first customized weather service app - "Typhoon Alert QR", which is the first in China that offers such service.
When scanning the QR with Alipay, a QR code in Typhoon shape will immediately be generated. The QR is accompanied by information showing the update time and whether My current location is under influence of the typhoon.
A green code means it is currently safe. Once the color changes, the individuals must be vigilant and take precautions. There could be blue code, yellow code, orange code, and red code according to the distance between each person and the typhoon, which is in line with the four levels of typhoon warnings.
The app also shows the real-time path of the typhoon, and informs individuals of the distance between "Me" and the typhoon, as well as the position of "Me" and the nearest time and distance to the typhoon center in the future.
In addition, there are also updates on rainfall, wind, tide and disaster risk level in real time.
