According to the assessment by the Expert Group for Ruili Covid-19 Prevention and Control management, as per the needs of epidemic prevention and control, from 19:00 on April 5, 2021, the risk classifications of Ruili will be adjusted as follows:

  • 3 districts are classified as high-risk areas;

  • 6 districts are classified as medium-risk areas;

  • others are low-risk areas.

Due to the increased risk level in some areas, the experts have decided to start the Covid-19 serum antibody test for the citizens in the high risk areas of Ruili from April 5th on; and from 8 o'clock April 6th, and therefore the second round of nucleic acid testing for all citizens in Ruili City will start.

After the COVID-19 outbreak in Ruili, the foreign affairs institutions of Yunnan Province, Dehong state, and Ruili City immediately launched emergency plans and recruited Burmese translation volunteers to participate in various tasks such as nucleic acid sampling, filling inquiry tables, assisting with transfer and  treatment, and helping on explaining vaccination information.

At present, more than a thousand Burmese interpreter volunteers in Ruili have been involved in the work, providing considerate services to tens of thousands of Burmese personnel.

At the vaccination spot of the Service Center for foreigners in Ruili, 15,000 people were vaccinated within one day on April 3. There are a large number of Burmese  interpreter volunteers on spot. All volunteers are authorized, and they will assist the entire process of vaccination for Burmese citizens.

In recent years, there has been a large population of Myanmar nationals living and working in Ruili. In order to break language barriers, the volunteers  enthusiastically signed up and put into work as soon as possible.
