Can Passengers Travel Freely After Spring Festival? Must Know!

On February 21, 2021, news about the anti-epidemic measures for passengers' trips after the Spring Festival holiday was released by the Chinese mainstream media, including the Railway Administration in seven major cities and 5 big airports, which clearly stated whether negative certificates of nucleic acid test were required.

Anti-Epidemic Requirements of Railway Administration in 7 Major Cities

Per the news staff, here are the anti-epidemic measures taken in the railway station of 7 major cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Wuhan and Hangzhou.

Beijing: Negative Report of COVID-19 Test Needed

According to Beijing Railway Administration, until March 15, all personnel entering Beijing still need to provide a negative certificate of nucleic acid test within 7 days, as well as a green health code.

Shanghai: Normal Temperature + Green Health Code

As per the news staff, Shanghai Railway Administration said that all the personnel entering / leaving the city shall provide a green health code and carry out the temperature detection.

Tianjin: Green Health Code and Normal Temperature

According to the Tianjin Railway Bureau, all passengers coming to Tianjin shall provide a green health code with normal body temperature, and then they can travel freely.

Guangzhou: Only Health Code Required while the Body Temperature is Normal

Per the Guangzhou Railway Administration, all passengers only need to provide their health code when their body temperature is normal.

Shenzhen: Normal Temperature + Green Health Code

As of now, as per the Shenzhen Railway Bureau, all personnel returning to Shenzhen only need to provide his / her health code and conduct the temperature detection before leaving the station.

Wuhan: Green Health Code and Normal Temperature for General Population

According to the Wuhan Railway Bureau, as for the general returning personnel, only the green health code and the body temperature measurement are required; while for the key groups, namely the medical staff, express delivery personnel, etc., a negative certificate of COVID-19 test within 7 days is needed.

Hangzhou: Green Health Code and Normal Temperature

According to the work staff of Hangzhou Railway Bureau, people returning / traveling to Hangzhou can leave the station after providing the green health code and conducting temperature detection. However, they shall follow the local CDC's instructions while traveling around the city.

Common Do's & Don' ts for Passengers

As for the airport, in order to ensure the safe and smooth travel of passengers, here are some common do's and don' ts for airline passengers from 5 airports, namely Beijing Capital International Airport, Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport, Yinchuan Hedong International Airport, Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport and Yichang Sanxia Airport, where the details are given as follows.

For Passengers Coming to Beijing

From now until March 15, anyone from the low-risk area traveling to Beijing must hold a negative certificate of nucleic acid test within 7 days; while personnel from medium-and-high-risk areas are banned from entering the city. However, if they need to come to Beijing, they must provide a negative report of nucleic acid test within 3 days, as well as a provincial certificate, when boarding.

For Passengers Travelling to Other Cities

Per the news staff, except Beijing, passengers going to other areas only need to provide their health code and carry out the body temperature measurement according to the anti-epidemic requirements of the destination.
